The Koreans went to the US because they wanted to work there and wanted to live in peace.
When they were there, they couldn't return because they were people without a country now -no citizen of Korea and not a real citizen of America- and couldn't return to Korea.

Did you know that the Filipino Amerivans came to US to hope for a better future?
The Filipinos are poor people. So they went to the US to get money, that means they must work and live there with the family. That's the reason why they immigrated to America.

Did you know that the Chinese Americans came to the US because in China was a economic and political instability?
They also hoped to find gold because they needed money or to became affluent.

Did you know that in 1942 the Executive Order 9066 was signed by President Franclin D. Roosevelt?
The Executive order 9066 authorized the Army to "designate military areas" form which "any persons may be excluded". But the words Japanese Americans never appeared in the Order. Even so, the command was only used against the Japanes Americans.
And this all wasn't justified.

Did you know that Vincent Chin was killed with a baseball bat by two men because he was mistaken for a Japanese American?
Vincent Chin is a Chinese American who was born in Detroit. One day, he had stopped into a Club to celebrate his forthcoming marriage. But then he got an argument with two men. The two men mistaken Chin for a Japenese American and was blamed for America's sagging auto industry by Ron Ebens, a factory foreman for Chrysler Corp., and his stepson , Michael Nitz.
These two men came out after 3 years and had a fine of about $3.700 without any jail.

Did you know that the reasons for the immigration of the Japanese Americans was, that many wanted to avoid the military service in Japan and that they dindn't like the Japanese way of life? They also hoped for a better life, peace and a better future for their children.
